On Thursday, April 28, 2016, McCall City Council adopted the Resolution  prohibiting  the  possession  or  consumption  of  alcoholic  beverages  in  City  Parks  from 12:01 AM on Friday, July 1 through 8:00 AM on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.  Following the vote, there was an update given by City staff on the event plan for the 4th of July Celebration.

This year McCall’s Lakeside will overflow with fun and activities for the entire family as more than twenty area businesses and local non-profit groups  have confirmed their participation with support from the St. Luke’s Youth Advocacy Coalition. The staff at McCall City Parks and Recreation lead the charge providing bounce houses, water slides and live music along Legacy Park. Other activities to include a McCall in Motion Chalk drawing competition, Chamber of Commerce BBQ Contest, face painting by Payette Lakes Community Association, an Art and Craft Walk at Brown Park, Young Life brings back the Card Board Regatta and so much more.  Events sponsored by the City are expected to run from 11am to 4pm.
