“Mountain Goats at Play,” is complete! This unique, public gathering place in McCall adjacent to Alpine Playhouse, is an interactive, fun public art piece that reflects McCall as a mountain town.
Selected sculptor, artist, Matt Babcock from Seattle, Washington, provided site design, metal sculptures, natural stone pedestals and seating elements for the new public plaza/play area. Design and installation were coordinated with a larger public works paving project. Boulder heights are coordinated with paver elevation to provide group and individual seating for kids and adults. The goat that steps down from a high rock to a lower one forms an arch that lines up with the sidewalk – an invitation for kids to come running through.
