Hour of Code Week
December 5-9th 3:45-4:45pm
Stop in after school for a self-guided learning adventure in coding!  Hosted by code.org an online program that introduces kids to computer science and programming. The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. We will show you how to get started using some simple self-guided activities featuring Star Wars, Minecraft, and Frozen. Learn at your own pace.


Cram the Van
December 8th 10:00am

We will be filling up a van outside the McCall Public Library with unwrapped toys, youth bedding, and household goods to help area families this holiday season.


Thailand Travelogue
December 8th 7:00-9:00pm

Dennis Marguet will be presenting a travelogue on his trip to Thailand. Find yourself immersed in the Thai tropics during this guided slideshow. The show will be split between two subjects: land based sites and their culture, and underwater sea life while spending about 10 days scuba diving around Thailand and Burma’s shores.


Special Holiday Craft
December 21st 1:00-3:00pm

It’s time to deck the halls, and join us for a special holiday craft making session. Drop in anytime between 1:00 and 3:00. Our elementary age friends will be able to make a variety of homespun rustic decorations just in time for the holidays!

Adult Board Gaming
Wednesday, December 28th 6:30-8:30pm
Bring in your friends for a fun night of playing your favorite board games! Play one of our games, or bring in one of yours. This program is for ages 16+. Light holiday refreshments will be provided.

Makerspace
December 30th 3:30-5:30pm
Windmill challenge! This month we will be designing our own mini wind turbines! Designer of the turbine that generates the most electricity will win a prize.

Let’s Talk About It starts next month!

McCall Public Library, Idaho Commission for Libraries, and McCall Arts and Humanities partner every year during the Cabin Fever series to bring this program to the McCall Community. “Let’s Talk About It” is a scholar-led book club that meets every other Wednesday from 7:00-8:00pm, starting January 25th then 2/8, 2/22, 3/8 and ending on 3/22.  This year’s theme “Pulitzer Prize Winners” was voted by last year’s participants.
