Bridging the Past, Present, and Future

The McCall Public Library is hosting a public lecture by Katherine Kirk, Executive Director with the Idaho Heritage Trust and publisher of Bridging the Past, Present, and Future; Commemorating 25 Years of the Idaho Heritage Trust.  The lecture will highlight 10 unique historic sites from the book to visit this summer.

Books will be available onsite for purchase, which Ms. Kirk will sign following the talk.

 

Birding Costa Rica

Terry Rich is an ornithologist and birder who has birded much of the Western Hemisphere, and who has made 4 trips to Costa Rica. The country’s amazing birds and great infrastructure make Costa Rica a natural destination for any birder. Join us!

Summer Reading Program
McCall Public Library is challenging your child to “Build a Better World” brick by brick, and book by book! This year we have 5 weeks of exciting events planned starting in June. The elementary program is for children entering grades 1-5 every Friday June 16th – July 14th.  Two times and two groups, choose either 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, or 1:00 – 2:00 pm.    The Summer Reading Tween Program is for kids grades 5-8 every Wednesday, June 14th – July 12th from 1:00 – 2:30pm.  Join us for these awesome programs, and then be sure to check out books and start reading to win prizes, books, and one lucky winner will win the grand prize mountain bike!  The fun happens every Friday, Don’t miss it. All children are eligible for a FREE summer reading library card when they register for a program, regardless of residence!  Join us and start building a better world today! Registration starts May 30th.
