Bessie Jo Wagner takes the seat as Interim City Manager

BessieJo Head shot.pngThis week, Bessie Jo Wagner, begins her role as McCall Interim City Manger, replacing Nathan Coyle. Since 2008, Bessie Jo Wagner, City Clerk, has served the City of McCall. She has proven herself knowledgeable in many aspects of the code requirements, processes and practices.  Mrs. Wagner will add the City Manager role to her Clerk operations with the support of city staff.

Open Office hours will continue. Bessie Jo Wagner is available to hear citizen comments or concerns on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm.

McCall Parks and Recreation Trips and Tours: Monastery of St. Gertrude Raspberry Festival

This coming weekend Sunday, August 6th, register for this fun trip.  Travel with us to the Monastery of St. Gertrude for the Raspberry Festival and take part in all the fun activities. If you are a biker, a walker, or a runner, don’t miss this fun that celebrates the continued development of our pathways. Kids will go on a pathway adventure scavenger hunt, along with bounce houses, prizes, raffles, and fun. Music! Fun! Pathways!

 Last few days to apply for the City Council opening. The appointment will be for a term that expires in December 2017. It’s a great opportunity to see how government works and be a part of the future. Give it a try!

h the existing Council members; can devote the necessary time, including at least three meetings per month; will make informed decisions in a participatory and public process; and is interested in the future of our community.

Last Chance to Spend a Lifetime on McCall’s Golf Course playing FREE

Last chance to purchase raffle tickets to win a unlimited play with a Lifetime Pass to the City of McCall Golf Club the winning ticket will be pulled at the 2017 McCall Amateur this week.

Only 255 tickets were sold and all proceeds are to be used for improvements to the the McCall Golf Course Clubhouse.

Traffic safety signs posted for Commerce Street Improvement Project

Please take extra care when driving on or around Commerce Street.  Signage will be posted advising traffic based on the needs of the construction project. Thank you for your patience. A reminder the Commerce Street Project is the first in a series of Streets Local Option Tax Projects. It’s an exciting time for renewal in the city.

“Construction Schedule
Valley Paving and Asphalt, Inc., of Cottonwood, Idaho has been awarded the construction contract for this project. Valley Paving and their subcontractors are planning to start work on the project during or around the week of July 17, 2017. In addition, private utility companies such as Idaho Power, Frontier Communications, or others will likely be working in the area starting July 10, 2017. Construction activities will generally occur between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily, and work may be allowed on weekends and during night time hours if requested by the Contractor or subcontractors. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2017. ” (Letter to Property Owners June 30, 2017)
