McCall Parks and Recreation: Now Accepting Applications

Parks and Recreation Seasonal Worker

The City of McCall is seeking qualified individuals to fill full-time, seasonal positions in our Parks and Recreation Department. Seasonal workers perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair, inspection, and service work in City parks and public areas, including equipment, machinery, irrigation systems, and structures. Additional duties include soil and plant cultivation, pesticide and fertilization applications and general cleanup duties.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 17 years old, and be able to work weekends and Holidays.  The City of McCall is an EOE/DFW. Wage begins at $11.25 per hour, higher wage possible depending on experience. Applications are available at the McCall City Hall or click the link below to download an application.

McCall Parks and Recreation: Photo Contest 2017 Entry Deadline December 31st

Everyone sees McCall through a different lens and we want you to show us your view!

ELIGIBILITY
The Amateur photo contest is open to all amateur photographers, all ages. By submitting an entry to the Photo Contest, entrants certify that their participation in this Photo Contest is not illegal or in violation of any law, regulation, treaty or administrative act.

ENTRY PERIOD

The Photo Contest begins at 12:00am on11/01/2017 and ends at 11:59pm on December 31, 2017.  Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

WHAT TO ENTER
Entries may originate in any format — including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color transparencies, color prints, or black and white prints — so long as they are submitted electronically in a .JPEG .jpg, or.png form.
Caption information should include:
1. Category Name (Street Photos, Celebrations, On Top of the World, Serenity in Nature and Best of Town)
2. Last name, First initial
3. Photo Title  (Ex:  ST, Woods, T., Main Street)

HOW TO ENTER
All images must be submitted to twoods@mccall.id.us with Photo Contest as the subject line, including all required fields, including name, email and other information about your photo submission. You may enter as many photos in each category as you want.  City of McCall contest supervisor reserves the right to reject any additional entries or entries that do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering, you indicate your unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules and decisions, which are final and binding. You cannot win a prize unless you comply with all requirements in these Official Rules.

JUDGING & PRIZES
Photos will be judged by City of McCall Communication Manager with collaboration of staff and community members.  Winners will be announced January 8; winners will be notified via email.  1st place winning photographs of each category will be used in the design of the City of McCall’s new website; set to launch in 2018.  Photo credits will be given to each winner.  All photographs submitted for the contest will become property of City of McCall to be used as marketing materials.
